Biography

Bin Chen was born in Jieshou, Anhui, China, in 1989. He received the B.Sc. degree in Electronic Information Science and Technology from Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China in 2010 and Ph.D. degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering at University College Dublin, Ireland, funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) in 2015.

Since June 2016, he has been a Postdoc on project “PATRIOT” at the Signal Processing Systems (SPS) Group, Department of Electrical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in The Netherlands.

From October 2017, he is also a Postdoc on project “NLCAP” at the Electro-Optical Communication Systems (ECO) group, Department of Electrical Engineering, TU/e.

His research focuses on developing practical and novel schemes for communication systems relates to cooperative communications, information theory, coded modulation, signal shaping, channel coding, network coding and signal processing.
