Academic position in Sensing and Communications

The ICT Lab is currently looking to expand its activities in the area of sensing and communications.

We are looking for strong candidates at the level of senior postdoctoral researcher or junior assistant professor to work in the fields of sensing, communications and information theory.

Ideal candidates would have a strong theoretical background on some of the following areas: wireless communications, sensing (RADAR, LIDAR, etc.), communication theory, and coding/information theory.

The candidate should also be able to bridge the gap between theoretical and applied research. The main area of application for this position is vehicular communications, where we collaborate with NXP Semiconductors Eindhoven. Leadership skills and the capability to attract funding are not mandatory but highly desirable. For the postdoctoral research position (2 years), the possibility of conversion into tenure-track assistant professorship exists.

If you are interested in this position, please send your CV and a one-page motivation letter to Alex Alvarado. Due to the high volume of applications, we will only respond to those whose profile fit the vacancy. Candidates without IEEE Transactions publications are not eligible for this position. Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
